We are nearly done with all of our books!
On June 11 & 13 there will be our annual Community Sale here in the gym. Please come and see if there is something you would like to own! Also, feel free to donate items June 7&8 from 4-8pm.
If you would like to help with the sale on Sunday, please let me know. I’m in charge that day.
We’ve taken our last star test for the year. Most of the students made good progress during the year. It would be a shame to let that progress slide during the summer. Please read to, with, and listen to your child read over the summer. You will be pleased to see the progress as you listen to him/her read. The key is lots of it! That’s how we learn to do things – by doing them!!!!!
If there is one thing you could do that would make next year better for your child, regardless of where he/she is in school it would be this: when you ask/tell them to do something, watch to be certain they do it. Follow through. If he/she wanders toward, but not to, the destination, work with him/her until he/she understands that a request means to do it without being asked the second time. Imagine how much more fun life would be without having to send them back to do it again, or argue about whether or not they actually got to the place they were sent and completed the project!!!! Same goes for school. Thanks for the help!
